If you haven't yet... the polls are open until 7:30pm (at least in my state!) I arrived promptly at 6:30 a.m. and waited in line for about one hour. The lines were much shorter as I was leaving. Hopefully your polling place will be well organized and smoothly run.

You really can make a difference. In my case my local schools and the library need me! Some people get discouraged because the popular vote takes a back seat to the electoral college. Voting for our President is critical, but there is so much more than that to decide.

Exercise your Right to Vote!

I brought a book with me in case there was a line but I doubted that would be the case in my small town. I voted just after the lunch hour was over and I parked right in front of the building, walked right in, voted in a couple of minutes. What took much longer was all the time I spent afterwards chatting with a half dozen volunteers who I knew and needed to have a catch up "how you doin'" chat.
